My supplements were left in hot temperatures for a long period of time, will they still be effective?Updated 2 years ago
When we conduct our stability testing, which determines a product’s shelf-life, it is performed on the finished product sealed and stored in the same manner it would be in our warehouse or at ambient temperatures (between 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit).
Having said that, it is difficult to say how temperatures outside this range affect stability, which can be affected by environmental factors such as temperature, oxygen, moisture, and UV light. This is why we recommend storing products in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.
So, we cannot say for certain if or how the effectiveness of a product would be affected without knowing the exact environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, light exposure) and the duration that the product was stored in the environment. Even then, we would only be able to speculate on the effects on stability.
