What is the purpose of the rice dextrin in Pro-X10?Updated 2 years ago
Rice dextrin (or rice starch) is an excipient commonly used in supplements as a diluent, or bulking agent, and it is included for the purpose of long-term stabilization. Dextrin from rice is ideal because unlike dextrin from other sources (e.g., wheat, corn), it is hypoallergenic.
Dextrin is an “inactive” ingredient, and there is only a very, very small amount in each capsule (~3mg per capsule) of Pro-X10. As a result, it provides no physiologically meaningful amount of carbohydrate.
