Why is sodium benzoate in Ageless Glow?Updated 2 years ago
Sodium benzoate is found naturally in cranberries, prunes, plums, cinnamon, ripe cloves, and apples. It is used as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care product formulas (to prevent the growth of fungi, bacteria, etc.).
The Cosmetic Ingredient Review and Environmental Working Group have determined that sodium benzoate is safe when used up to a concentration of 1%. Along those lines, Ageless Glow contains less than 1% sodium benzoate.
