• Aspartame
  • No, Low Carb does not contain aspartame. It is sweetened with Stevia. 
• Banana
  • The strawberry banana flavoring is part of the “natural flavors,” and although the exact ingredients are the proprietary information of our manufacturer, we can assure you that they are composed of a minimal number of natural, non-GMO ingredients, including ingredients derived from real strawberries and bananas. The natural flavors in BioTrust Low Carb contain highly concentrated extracts of the fruits (e.g., strawberries, bananas). If you have any allergy concerns, please consult your physician prior to supplementation.
• Caffeine
  • There is a negligible amount of naturally-occurring caffeine (i.e., < 1mg) from natural cocoa powder in the chocolate-based flavors of Low Carb.
  • Despite its delicious, mouth-watering taste of coffee and cocoa, the Café Mocha BioTrust Low Carb does not contain caffeine. 
• Erythritol 
  • Erythritol is one of the natural ingredients that make up Swerve, a delicious, natural, zero-calorie sweetener made from ingredients found in fruits and vegetables. Erythritol is a non-caloric sugar alcohol that has no glycemic impact, and unlike other sugar alcohols, it does not lead to any GI distress.
• Glutamate
  • Yes, it does. Anything containing complete proteins will contain glutamate. Glutamate is an amino acid, one of the twenty amino acids used to construct proteins, and as a result, is found in high concentrations in every part of the body as well. Monosodium glutamate is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids. Monosodium glutamate is found naturally in tomatoes, cheese and other foods. There is no MSG in BioTrust Low Carb.
• Growth hormones
  • The proteins are sourced from cows that are Farmer Certified Growth Hormone-Free, which means the cows from which the milk was derived have never been treated with synthetic (and potentially dangerous) growth hormones (e.g., rBGH, rBST) or antibiotics.
• Iodine
  • We do not currently test for nutritional characteristics such as iodine in BioTrust Low Carb. If you are taking any prescription medications and/or being treated for any medical conditions, please consult your physician prior to changing your diet or taking any supplements.
• MSG
  • There is no MSG in BioTrust Low Carb Protein Powder.
• Pea Protein
  • There is no pea protein in BioTrust Low Carb. However, Low Carb Plant contains pea protein.
• Rice protein
  • No, Low Carb does not contain rice protein.
• Starch
  • Low Carb contains 3 grams of non-fiber, digestible polysaccharides, which are often referred to as starches.
    
• Sulfites
  • Although there are no sulfites added to the product, there are some ingredients in Low Carb that contain naturally-occurring sulfites (albeit at very, very small levels, below 10ppm). Having said that, because we do not test the finished product for sulfites, we wouldn’t be able to claim that it is sulfite-free. It is, however, likely below 10ppm. 
• Tyrosine
  • Each two-scoop serving of BioTrust Low Carb contains approximately 959mg of the amino acid L-Tyrosine.
• Vitamin B-12
  • We do not currently test for additional nutritional characteristics (e.g., vitamin B12) outside of those listed on the Nutrition Facts Panel. Because the primary ingredients in BioTrust Low Carb are proteins derived from cow's milk, any additional nutritional characteristics would be similar to what may be found in milk.
• Vitamin K
  • We do not currently test for additional nutritional characteristics (e.g., vitamin K) outside of those listed on the Nutrition Facts Panel. Because the primary ingredients in BioTrust Low Carb are proteins derived from cow's milk, any additional nutritional characteristics would be similar to what may be found in milk. 
• Xylitol 
  • Low Carb does not contain Xylitol. It contains Stevia.
