How can Low Carb Multi-Protein be gluten-free if it is manufactured in a facility that processes wheat?Updated a day ago
Low Carb Multi-Protein is certified gluten-free, meaning it contains no gluten-containing ingredients and is tested to meet FDA standards. The FDA allows products to be labeled “gluten-free” if they contain less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten. Our testing shows levels below 5 ppm, which is the detection limit of the test - well below the FDA requirement.
While Low Carb Multi-Protein is made in a facility that also processes wheat, stringent cleaning procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed to prevent cross-contamination, and gluten testing is done after our product leaves the facility. We include an allergen advisory out of caution for individuals with severe wheat allergies or Celiac disease.
