Is there any concern with taking too much Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12)?Updated 2 years ago

No toxic or adverse effects have been associated with high intakes of vitamin B12 from either food or supplements in otherwise healthy individuals. When vitamins have the potential to be toxic, the US Food and Nutrition Board sets a “tolerable upper limit” (UL), which is the maximum daily intake unlikely to cause adverse effects. Because of the low toxicity of vitamin B12, no UL has been set. Vitamin B12 has a history of safe long-term use. In other words, there is no concern with this level of vitamin B12 for an otherwise healthy individual.
