A small amount of caramel powder is used to color the BellyTrim XP softgels. This is an important step because an opaque, dark-colored softgel is critical to protect the delicate ingredients from light, oxidation, and rancidification. In other words, it’s important to ensure stability, freshness, and effectiveness. 

The caramel powder is made from liquid caramel, and we source it from the worldwide leader in the production of liquid and powdered caramel for the food and beverage industry. With regard to safety, the world’s leading food safety authorities – the FDA, the World Health Organization and regulators across the European Union and Japan – regard caramel color as an acceptable additive. Dozens of food scientists have given their approval as well.
